Our Story
Hillhurst is the vision of Joseph J. Keenan, a former family office and investment company executive with extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly alternative investments and investment management. Joe, with certificates in public accounting and financial planning, has served high net worth individuals, family offices and institutions throughout his 30-year career. He formed Hillhurst to help all individuals and their families with personal financial planning and wealth management services traditionally reserved for the ultra-high net worth market. Our goal is to help our clients achieve their life goals and desired lifestyle with a dynamic comprehensive financial plan, low cost investing and tax efficiency in all areas of a client’s financial life.
Joseph J. Keenan
Managing Owner
Joe most recently served as CFO of a large alternative investment management firm and has 10 years of experience as CFO of an ultra-high net worth family office. Previously, he received his public accounting experience at Arthur Andersen & Co. Joe is a California certified public accountant (inactive), a certified financial planner, and a personal financial specialist as designated by the American Society of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”). Joe also has an MBA from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Management from the University of LaVerne. He is a member of the California Society of CPAs and the AICPA. Joe is a U.S. Navy veteran.
